CAREER TO DATE:
John graduated in Law from Melbourne University in 1966 and gained a Master of Laws in 1974. John is experienced in Wills, Estate Planning and Estate litigation.
Apart from drawing up wills, John can advise on how to structure assets, set up trusts for children, and how to ensure that any dependants are not left with liabilities.
John has developed a specific focus on the legal needs of older clients, particularly in the area of Powers of Attorney and Incapacity and Decision Making. Because of his past experience in veterans’ affairs and dealings with government, John is very familiar with the review of Government decisions.
Prior to joining Gall Standfield & Smith, John was a member of the Veteran’s Review Board for a period of 12 years and of the Guardianship & Administration Tribunal for 9 years (2 of which were with QCAT). Prior to this, John worked in a legal practice in Victoria.
